Loud bars in Toronto

This is a Super Spud comic I drew for a local newspaper here in Toronto back in April 2006. I was (still am) very tired of not being able to have any sort of conversation in ANY cafe, bar or restaurant in my city. They pump the music so loud that you have to shout. This, to me, is simply stupid. Yes, I know owners think the louder the music the more people drink but SHOUTING just isn’t fun. It even happens in donut shops. This still happens today.
